ROUTINE X-RAY:

Different X-rays require different preparations. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind when planning for your X-ray exam.

  • Wear easy-to-remove, comfortable clothes. You may have to undress partially for your exam.
  • As jewerly distorts x-rays,we ask that you not wear any jewelry to your exam. All jewelry would need to be removed and secured before an exam could be conducted. Most patients find it much more convenient to simply not wear any jewelry to their exam.
  • Tell your X-ray technician if you experience dizziness or light-headedness when lying down or getting up at home.
  • We must ask if there is a possibility you could be pregnant. Please understand that x-rays can pose a risk to a developing fetus, so we take every precaution to avoid exposing pregnant women to x-rays.
