Fluoroscopy:

• BARIUM ENEMA:
  Allow 1 hour for the exam. To insure a satisfactory study, your bowel must be entirely free of fecal matter. It is therefore important to follow the instructions carefully. Two days before your exam, pick up the (Adult) Fleet Prep Kit from your doctor or Midtown Imaging, LLC. Follow the 24 hour instructions carefully.
  
• BARIUM SWALLOW & UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL SERIES (UGI):
  Allow 20 minutes for the exam. Do not eat, drink, chew gum, or use tobacco products after midnight the evening before your examination. Continue prescribed medications, but use as little water as possible.
  
• SMALL BOWEL SERIES:
  Allow 1 to 3 hours for the exam. Do not eat, drink, chew gum or use tobacco products after midnight the night before your exam. Continue prescribed medications, but use as little water as possible.
  
• IVP - INTRAVENOUS PYELOGRAM – INTRAVENOUS PYELOGRAM: Allow 1 hour for the exam.  Two days before your examination, physiologic uptake the (Adult) LoSo Prep Kit from your doctor or Midtown Imaging, LLC.  Follow the 24 hour instructions carefully.  Please notify Midtown Imaging if you have a history of iodine allergy.
  
  Attention for patients receiving IV CONTRAST –Special Attention to Diabetic medications: glucophage, metformin, glucovance, advatament  If patient is taking any of these medications they must refrain from taking medication one day prior to IVP and refrain from taking two days after.
