Founder and President of Midtown Imaging, Robert David
Burke, MD, has achieved acclaim for his pioneering work and dedication
to the field of radiology. Dr. Burke has remained focused and devoted
to providing unsurpassed quality medical services to his patients throughout
his impressive medical career. This dedication and personal drive to
give his patients the absolute highest quality care led Dr. Burke to
create the foundation for Midtown Imaging. Midtown Imaging’s comfortable
and state of the art facilities reflect Dr. Burke’s passion and
dedication to personal service and care.
A Tennessee native, Dr. Burke received both his Bachelors
and Medical Degrees at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky.
He would also complete his internship in diagnostic radiology at the
University of Louisville. Dr. Burke completed his residency at the Michael
Reese Medical Center in Chicago. His residency concentrated on diagnostic
radiology where he worked alongside many of the pioneers and leaders
in diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Burke received a Fellowship in Nueroradiology/MRI
at the Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester, Rochester,
NY. He gained significant insight into the modern techniques of diagnostic
imaging training alongside the best angiographers in the world. His
training was at the forefront of the modernization and commercialization
of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. This education and
training along with Dr. Burke’s life long passion for medicine
allowed him to quickly become a leader in the field of radiology. Dr.
Burke has authored and presented publications to the International Congress
of Chemotherapy in Florence, Italy as well as the American Society of
Neuroradiology.
Dr. Burke also served as President and was a Founder
of US Diagnostics Incorporated, a national diagnostic imaging company
with 120 images centers located throughout the United States. He was
instrumental in US Diagnostic’s success and expansion while serving
as the one of the key figures in the company. It was this experience
that Dr. Burke utilized to create and grow Midtown Imaging to become
the market leader it is today, providing the absolute highest quality
services to patients and referring doctors. Dr. Burke is committed to
ensuring that Midtown Imaging remains at the forefront of diagnostic
Imaging while providing patients with personalized care from his highly
trained, board certified professionals.
Dr. Burke resides in North Palm Beach with
his wife and three children. He enjoys spending time with his family
and traveling. He also enjoys golf, skiing, boating, fishing and water
sports. A dedicated community member, Dr. Burke is involved in a number
of civic projects and medical organizations.
